How Kent Detailing Studio Started
Kent Detailing Studio began trading in 2021, working out of a dedicated unit in Ashford rather than driveways or car parks.
The studio grew out of two things coming together: a detailing-products business already trading in Kent, and a personal passion for detailing that had been building for years before the studio itself existed. Rather than starting from nothing, Kent Detailing Studio began with a genuine understanding of the products going into the work — which coatings behave how, what different films are suited to, and what actually makes a difference on a car versus what is just marketing.
That combination — product knowledge on one side, hands-on detailing on the other — is still the basis of how the studio works today.

Background
More Than a Decade in Detailing
Kent Detailing Studio's connection to the industry goes back further than the studio itself.
Our sister company, Waxpack Detailing Supplies, has been trading since 2014 — selling detailing products, coatings and equipment years before Kent Detailing Studio opened its doors. Between the two businesses, that means over ten years of continuous involvement in detailing, detailing products and the wider industry around them.
Personally, I have over ten years of detailing experience, built up alongside running Waxpack and long before the studio existed as its own thing. Kent Detailing Studio is best understood as that experience finding a physical home — a place to put the products and knowledge into practice on real vehicles, properly, rather than simply selling what other people use.

Product Knowledge That Matters
Detailing has no shortage of products claiming to be the answer to everything. Knowing which ones actually are is most of the job.
Running a detailing-products business alongside the studio means we are not working from what one manufacturer's sales material says a product does — we have used, sold and compared coatings, films and detailing products across the market for years. That gives us a genuine basis for recommending one approach over another, rather than defaulting to whatever happens to be in stock.
It also means we are not tied to a single brand out of convenience. When we recommend a particular coating or film for your car, it is because it suits the vehicle and what you want from it, not because it is the only option we know well.
