This Skoda Karoq ceramic coating project began the moment the vehicle arrived with us for a new car protection detail — the owner's choice to protect it properly from the outset rather than waiting for the first mark or the first watermark on the glass to appear.
Unlike a correction job on an older car, there was little or no existing damage to remove. The emphasis here was on thorough preparation and complete coverage: making sure every surface likely to take wear over the vehicle's life was properly protected before it had the chance to.

The Work
What We Did
A complete Gyeon Skoda Karoq ceramic coating package, covering paint, wheels, glass, trim and interior fabric, alongside targeted PPF.

Wash, decontamination & drying
The same starting point we use on every vehicle regardless of age: a full exterior wash, chemical decontamination and a full dry, followed by claying to lift anything still sitting on the paint before machine polishing began.

Machine polishing & panel wipe
The paintwork was machine polished to bring out clarity and gloss, then wiped down with a panel wipe to remove any polishing oils — a step that matters just as much on a new car as an older one, since oils left on the surface stop a coating bonding properly.

Wheels & arches
The wheels were removed from the vehicle entirely, which let us coat both the face and the barrel with Gyeon Rim, rather than just the visible surface. With the wheels off, the arches were deep cleaned and the plastic arch liners coated with Gyeon Trim along with the vehicle's other exterior plastics.

Ceramic coating — paint, glass & interior
Gyeon Mohs and Skin were applied to the paintwork, Gyeon Glass to all exterior glass, and Gyeon Fabric Coat across the fabric interior surfaces — giving the vehicle consistent protection across paint, glass and cabin rather than paint alone.

PPF
Profilm paint protection film was fitted to the mirror caps, the interior infotainment screen, the luggage protector strip and the piano black B-pillars — the areas of a new car most likely to mark early through everyday use.
With the exception of the Profilm PPF, every product used on this Skoda Karoq was from Gyeon — a consistent system across paint, wheels, glass, trim and interior rather than a mix of unrelated products.

Skoda Karoq New Car Protection Questions
Is it worth protecting a Skoda Karoq when it's brand new?
It's generally the best time to do it. A new car has no existing swirl marks or contamination to correct, so protection goes straight onto clean paint. It's usually the cheapest point in a car's life to protect it too, since there's little or no correction to pay for first.
Why coat the interior fabric as well as the paint?
Fabric seats and trim mark just as easily as paintwork, from spills, dirt transfer and general use. A fabric coating helps liquids bead on the surface rather than soaking in, making stains far easier to lift before they set.
Why remove the wheels to coat them?
The barrel and the back of the spokes take the worst of the brake dust, and they're almost impossible to coat properly with the wheel still on the car. Removing them also lets us deep clean the arches properly, which normally get missed entirely.
What does PPF on the B-pillars actually protect against?
Piano black trim marks very easily and is usually a replacement item rather than something that can be polished out. Film on the B-pillars protects them from the fine scratching that piano black picks up through everyday use.
Can this package be applied to any SUV, or just the Karoq?
This combination of ceramic coating across paint, wheels, glass, trim and interior, alongside targeted PPF, suits most new vehicles — not just this one. The exact areas covered depend on what you want protected and how the car will be used.
